The final remnant of Birmingham’s old Bull Ring has been demolished.
The Birmingham Alliance, which includes Hammerson and Land Securities, is spending £400m on 110,000 sq m (1.18m sq ft) of retail space which is scheduled to be completed by autumn 2003.
Debenhams and Selfridges are the anchor tenants and Gap, Next and Benetton will open key stores. The area will be heavily pedestrianised.
