Argos zeroes in on Arndale Tower move

Argos – part of the GUS home shopping empire – is close to taking 4,645 sq m (50,000 sq ft) at Prudentials Arndale Tower, Manchester.

Market sources say Argos will sign for part of the 9,300 sq m (100,000 sq ft) being refurbished after ICL vacated the tower. Trevor Sloan, at letting agent GVA Grimley, confirmed that it was in talks with an unnamed occupier.

The Argos deal is part of a much larger GUS requirement, including around 4,645 sq m (50,000 sq ft) for city centre headquarters and a similar requirement for an administration/call centre, tipped for the Bolton area.

Colliers CRE is advising GUS.
