Firth quits DTZ for Leeds developer

Robert Firth (pictured), a director in the Leeds office of DTZ Debenham Tie Leung, is leaving to join DTZ client St James Securities.

Firth, who has been with DTZ for 17 years, is one of the city’s most prominent agents. He will join Leeds-based developer St James to work closely with Ian Barraclough, another former director with DTZ.

Firth said of his move: “I absolutely cant wait to get into development and take the decisions rather than being a third party in the deals.”

His wish will come true when he crosses over from being joint letting agent on St James’ Wellington Place with Knight Frank, to being part of the development team.

St James is about to submit a planning application to bring forward the next 11,150 sq m (120,000 sq ft) phase of offices at Wellington Place.
