Cable & Wireless has signed Chesterton Workplace Management to take on facilities management services for its entire UK office portfolio.
Chesterton Workplace Management (CWM) will manage contracts valued at £18m pa, delivering cleaning, catering, maintenance and archiving services for the company’s 200,000 sq m (2.2m sq ft) of offices.
Roger Hitchcock, vice-president of facilities and property at Cable & Wireless, said: “We invited nine companies to provide us with a facilities management strategy paper, and how the contract should be undertaken – Chesterton came up with the best proposals.”
Summit Group advised Cable & Wireless on the structure of the contracts terms, and their incorporation.
Michael Holmes, Chief Executive of Chesterton, said: “The new contract involves the provision of services valued at £90m over the next five years and is an excellent opportunity for us to build upon the working relationship that we already have with Cable & Wireless”
