Revolution as Inventive plans first London vodka bar

Soho is to get Londons first flavoured vodka bar. Inventive Leisure has snapped up the former Si Señor restaurant at 2 St Annes Court, W1, for its Revolution concept.

It has paid £250,000 for the lease on the 511 sq m (5,500 sq ft) outlet. The bar-restaurant had been held by Si Senors parent firm, Bluebrace, on a lease expiring in 2013, at £175,000 pa.

Inventive has submitted an application to Westminster council for minor amendments to the design of the bar, and removal of the conditions on the licence, which runs until 11pm.

Acquisition manager Adam Howarth said: “There shouldnt be any objections, but because of all the turmoil over Westminsters planning policy we are being realistic and moving slowly in our application for a later licence. There is quite a large backlog of public entertainment licences at the moment.”

Inventive plans to open in Soho in the next few months, and is thought to be looking for sites in Covent Garden and the City. It operates bars in Lincoln, Manchester and Aberdeen.

Element Property acted for Bluebrace and Charles Price acted for Inventive.
