Canary Wharf is lobbying government to extend CrossRail to its east London office complex.
The “Superlink” scheme is the biggest central London infrastructure project in decades. An extension to Canary Wharf would more fully integrate Docklands into central London.
It would also solve capacity problems at Canary Wharf and provide direct links between Docklands and Heathrow.
