IKEA is pressing ahead with plans for the expansion of its 60,385m sq (650,000 sq ft) distribution centre at West Moor Park near Doncaster.
The furniture retailer wants to increase the centre, at junction four of the M18, by more than 50%, adding 32,515 m sq (350,000 sq ft).
Also at West Moor Park, Teeshep, a jv of Teesland Group and Shepherd Developments, has sold a 17,472 sq m (188,000 sq ft) building to Mountcity Group, for £8m.
Built as the European HQ for the office equipment specialist Fellowes Manufacturing, the building includes a 2,974 sq m (32,000 sq ft) office and has been prelet on a 10-year lease at £42 per sq m (£3.90 per sq ft).
Jersey-based Mountcitys holdings in South Yorkshire now exceed £50m – around half the groups total value.
