Whitbread has been the subject of market speculation this week that it is the focus of a possible break-up.
The group is currently focused on hotels and leisure, including the David Lloyd health and fitness clubs, Travel Inn lodges and Marriott hotels, as well as restaurant brands such as Café Rouge and TGI Fridays.
The events of 11 September have hit the company’s share prices after it had been performing well.
