The case of a squatter who was awarded possession of a Brixton flat, from which he had been evicted by landlords Lambeth London Borough Council, may now move to the House of Lords.
The Law Lords are considering an application by the council to appeal against the Appeal Court decision, but have put the matter on hold until 21 November 2001 in order give the squatter, Jack Blackburn, an opportunity to prepare his objections to the move.
