Welsh Assembly ordered to pay Lord Rogers £450,000

The Welsh Assembly has been ordered to pay architect Richard Rogers nearly £450,000 in fees.

Last year, Rogers was sacked from the £27m assembly building project by Welsh finance minister Edwina Hart, who accused the architect of allowing costs to spiral out of control – an accusation that Rogers denied.

A new architect is set to be appointed on the project in the autumn – Rogers is again on the shortlist.
