Property consultant Healey & Baker is at the centre of a claim for damages in a dispute over auctioned property.
The High Court claim says that Healey & Baker was instructed by Tearwater to sell Bolham Nursing Home, at Clumbers Court in Bolham Drive, Retford. In November 2001, Sidu, of Southhall, Middlesex, successfully bid £1.8m for the property at an auction in Piccadilly.
The claim says that Sidu handed the firm a cheque for the 10% deposit, but this subsequently bounced when it was presented. Despite a demand for payment sent in January this year, it is alleged that Sidu has yet to pay.
Now Healey & Baker is suing Sidu for £181,000, plus interest of £1,209.97, and continuing interest of £19.84 per day.
