Guy Crawford has resigned as managing director of Macdonald Hotels.
Crawford’s role will to be taken on by deputy chief executive Gerry Smith.
The move follows the full integration of Heritage Hotels into the group. MacDonald acquired Heritage last April as a part of a £235m joint venture with Bank of Scotland. It plans to invest £60m in the portfolio over the next five years.
