Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration, the joint venture between St Modwen and Stoke council, has signed Pets At Home for a national distribution centre at its 400-acre (162ha) Trentham Lakes scheme in north Staffordshire.
Pets At Home has taken the 152,000 sq ft (14,121 sq m) centre on a 20-year lease at an initial annual rent of around £560,000.
The centre forms part of the £175m scheme’s second phase, which comprises 700,000 sq ft (65,030 sq m) of additional warehousing and distribution accommodation, over 300 homes, a district shopping centre and a public house.
The first phase of development at the scheme comprised a 120,000 sq ft (11,148 sq m) factory, HSBC call centre, health and fitness club, Holiday Inn Express hotel and Harvester restaurant.
