Simon Halabi’s Buckingham Securities has been given permission to convert Mentmore Towers, Buckinghamshire, into a 45,000 sq ft (4,181 sq m) hotel/health spa.
The former home of the Rothschild family near Aylesbury is owned by the Halabi family trust.
The six-star hotel is set to open in 2005. EPR is the architect.
