Members of the House of Lords are still a popular appointment on the boards of property companies.
Although reforms to the upper chamber have reduced the number of members with vast tracts of land, the register Lords Interests, published this week, reveals that property is still a major interest for peers.
Entries show that more than 20 major property companies, consultancies and regeneration companies have a lord on their board.
Rotch employs former Chancellor of the Exchequer Lord Lamont of Lerwick as a consultant, while companies such as Land Securities, Grosvenor and Minerva have all recruited peers of the realm to their board of directors.
