Plans for the redevelopment of the Lots Road power station, SW10, have been changed to satisfy local council demands.
Circadian, a jv between Taylor Woodrow and Hutchison Whampoa, has submitted a revised planning application for a £500m redevelopment of London’s longest-running power station.
It will include more commercial space and lower residential towers.
Circadians initial proposals for the site, which straddles the border of Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham councils, were primarily rejected because of the height of the residential towers and because of the low allocation of affordable housing.
The new Sir Terry Farrell & Partners-designed scheme for the 8.9-acre (3.6ha) site includes 12 new buildings centred on the power station.
It will include 368 affordable homes and 498 private homes, along with 105,000 sq ft (9,755 sq m) of commercial space.
The design contains 42% affordable housing, up from 36% in the previous application, which proposed 626 private homes.
