The number of casinos in the UK could rise from 123 to 250 large or 450 small establishments, the Commons culture select committee says.
The government plans to relax gambling laws.
The committees report did not endorse calls for the government to back a pilot scheme setting up a Las Vegas-style resort casino in Blackpool. It said the decision should be left to the local authority.
