Designs for the £25m redevelopment of the Roundhouse theatre in Chalk Farm, NW1, have been unveiled by architect John McAslan & Partners.
The 71,050 sq ft (6,600 sq m) Grade II listed building will be turned into a youth academy with training spaces for the arts, capable of accommodating up to 3,500 people.
The Norman Trust, Arts Council of England, Heritage Lottery Fund and private sponsors are funding the scheme, due to be completed in 2005.
