Taylor Woodrow is to cut 180 jobs as part of its switch to new headquarters in Solihull, West Midlands.
The redundancies, which relate to around 5% of the companys UK workforce, come 18 months after it acquired rival Bryant for £632m.
Taylor Woodrow will relocate from its Staines headquarters to Bryants base in Solihull where a new office should open next month. The new office will house around 300 staff, including all senior managers.
The remainder of the redundancies will be spread around the country as Taylor Woodrow attempts to save £21m next year.
Other changes include the closure of the companys offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, which will be replaced by one base in Livingston.
The company will be reorganised into 10 regions, but homes will continue to be marketed under the Bryant Homes brand.
Chief executive Iain Napier said the moves would enable the company to “refocus resources on the Solihull site and take some of the fat out of management and control”.
He predicted a slowing down in sale prices in the second half of the year.
