Taipei Financial Centre Corporation (TFCC), a consortium of financial firms, has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle as letting agent for TAIPEI 101, soon to be the worlds tallest building.
Located in the central part of the XinYi district, the 508 metre-tall building will provide 2.1m sq ft (198,000 sq m) on 56 floors.
The Taiwan Stock Exchange has prelet five floors and other major international firms are being wooed at the scheme, which aims to become the financial hub of Taipei.
TFCCs chairman C.Y. Lee said: “TAIPEI 101 will be the only office tower that will be qualified as an international Grade A office building in Taiwan that meets the needs of the business world in the future. It will have no competitors in the market.”
JLL also worked on the worlds current tallest building, the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia, as well as the giant Cheung Kong Centre in Hong Kong.
Building is due to be completed in 2004.
