Ken Livingstone has warned that a reduction in tourism that would result from a war in Iraq could cut the capitals gross domestic product by about £1bn.
The mayors advisers also say there would be a significant indirect impact on the economy caused by increases in oil prices or reduced confidence in financial markets.
