Hull City Council are facing a £330,000 claim for unpaid bills relating to building work on the green space network project.
According to a writ issued at London’s High Court and just made publicly available, Hull Local Labour Initiative, a non-profit-making organisation, has incurred costs totalling £641,522 for building works and services on the project between 1999 and 2001, but has been paid only £307,242.
The initiative is now seeking either payment of the outstanding balance of £334,280 or appropriate damages, claiming that the council have breached their contract through their failure to pay.
The claim was issued by Gosschalks, of Hull.
