Martin Myers and Manish Chande are backing plans for a £100m PFI-type fund to finance power requirements for the NHS.
The duos Mountgrange Capital is helping to fund EcoCentroGen, an on-site energy provider.
Peter Walker, co-founder and director of ECG, said he was going to “be lobbying the government at the Labour Party conference in Blackpool to gain access to government estates”.
ECG specialises in financing the design, construction, operation and maintenance of energy-efficient and environmentally responsible onsite energy centres.
Chande said: “With government commitment to such initiatives and companies like ECG prepared to provide capital to fund the construction of these centres, there has never been a better time to look at utilities provision that reduces emissions and also cuts operating costs.”
