The Crown Estate has been given planning consent for a £200m scheme on Regent Street, W1.
The 229-247 Regent Street scheme will be managed by Sir Stuart Lipton’s Stanhope on behalf of the Crown Estate.
It will provide 58,000 sq ft (5,388 sq m) of shops, 115,000 sq ft (10,683 sq m) of offices and 10 flats.
Work will start on site in early 2003 and is scheduled to complete in spring 2005.
The scheme is the first part of a £500m, 10-year programme to redevelop the Crown Estate’s holdings on Regent Street.
