Plans for a ¬100m (£63m) mixed-use development in Kilkenny in the Republic of Ireland have been unveiled by Chesterbridge Developments.
The scheme, drawn up by architect Broadway Malyan, comprises shops, flats, offices and leisure facilities and a hotel. It is planned for a 9.88-acre (4ha) site around Kilkenny Railway Station.
The development will incorporate historic buildings, including the Old Kilkenny Work House.
Chesterbridge aims to submit a planning application by the end of the year and it is hoped construction will start on site in 2003 with completion scheduled for 2005.
