Future of clubs in the lap of the gods?

Lap-dancing clubs could find their expansion ambitions poleaxed as opponents attempt to get the law on-side.

Sandra White, a member of the Scottish parliament, is attempting to push though legislation that would allow councils in Scotland to ban lap-dancing clubs if communities were opposed to them.

The Guardian suggests similar steps could be taken in England and Wales.
