Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) say they are confident of meeting targets by the end of the financial year despite halfway figures that suggest some are lagging behind.
The return of brownfield land to use and creating new businesses are among the four self-imposed targets the RDAs must meet to demonstrate their value.
The North West RDA, the London Development Agency, the South East England Development Agency and Advantage West Midlands produced disappointing halfway figures.
