Brian Cooper takes his bow

Brian Cooper is stepping down as senior partner of the firm he founded 30 years ago. Equity partner Andrew Barrs is also quitting, as part of far-reaching changes which will result in the demise of Brian Cooper & Co.

Another partner, Simon Holley, will head the new firm, Holley Blake Cooper. He will be joined by his former DTZ Debenham Thorpe colleague Simon Blake, as well as John Reavley and Keith Dowley. Brian Cooper and Andrew Barrs will continue as consultants to the firm.

Holley said: “The new firm will concentrate on investment, development, development funding and agency work nationwide. We intend to maintain a strong agency team, primarily in office and industrial.”

The new firm’s major instructions are Sherwood Park, Nottingham – advising English Partnerships and Kodak – and at Boreham Interchange in Chelmsford, Essex, where it is acting jointly with Taylor Wells on marketing land sales for Countryside Properties and Hermes.
