Southampton council has drawn up a shortlist of developers to compete for the redevelopment of the 35-acre central sector/Pirelli site in the town centre.
Five hopefuls have been picked by the council: Imry Merchant with Pentagon Design & Construction; Arlington Securities with Grosvenor Square Property Group; Shearwater Property Holdings; Arundell House Securities; and Sheraton Securities International.
Each development team will be required to produce a financial offer based on a retail/business/leisure scheme to be presented at the end of this year. The council will make its final decision early next year.
