South East Thames Regional Health Authority have sold a 6.5-acre site near Oakwood Hospital, Maidstone, Kent, for over £3m to ECC Construction.
Most of the site, at Hermitage Lane, Barming Heath, is covered by outline planning consent for 82 dwellings.
The purchasers would pay an overage sum for any additional units permitted.
A 30-house development will be carried out in a “joint venture with a major financial institution”, according to an ECC spokesman.
