Cloisters upgrade

Chelsea Cloisters, London’s largest residential block, is being renovated at a cost of £7.5m by Seasonmain, who bought the company in 1985.

The refurbishment is being funded by Greyhound European Financial Group, who have a major shareholding in Seasonmain. John Lelliot are carrying out the work on the Sloane Avenue, London SW3, property which will reduce the number of apartments from 747 to 639. The 10-storey complex covers about 1.3 acres.

The first phase will be on the market this April, with project completion in 1988. Hamptons and Keith Cardale Groves are joint agents, and the prices for studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments start at about £50,000.
