TPC course set for October

How quickly the seasons change, for already the first harbinger of autumn, the lesser-spotted TPC course, is to be seen in the countryside. More seriously, the College of Estate Management gives notice that its introductory training course, designed to prepare candidates for the test of professional competence in the LA&A Division of the RICS, will be run from Friday October 28 to Monday 31.

The course will offer two options: Option A covers farm buildings, compulsory purchase and tenant right, report writing and agriculture, starting on Friday 28 and dispersing at 4pm on Sunday.

Option B is as Option A, plus forestry and land use, starting on Friday 28 until 4pm on Monday.

The instructors on this course are mainly land agents who have themselves taken the examination, and some have even graduated to acting as examiners. They therefore have a close knowledge of the examination and are aware of what the examiners are seeking.

Fees, including accommodation and meals, are £135 for Option A and £175 for Option B. Details from the Director of Courses, CEM, Whiteknights, Reading (0734 861101).
