Ranelagh/Reinhold £25m scheme

Ranelagh Developments and the Swedish property and investment company, Reinhold, in association with the Worshipful Company of Skinners, are planning a £25m redevelopment in Cloak Lane, London EC4.

Architects for the project Green Lloyd Adams, have submitted a planning application to construct two office buildings of around 30,000 sq ft and 27,500 sq ft respectively, and carry out a restoration of a 17th-century building on College Hill.

The Skinners, freeholders of the site, will retain the larger building and grant Ranelagh/Reinhold new 150-year headleases over the two other buildings at peppercorn rents. If successful at the planning stage, the developers plan to start work on the scheme next spring.

Reinhold now have a number of joint developments in the City, including the redevelopment of Bible House, in Queen Victoria Street (in partnership with Speyhawk), and, with Ranelagh again, in Doughty Street, WC1.

Rohleder Lumby and Savills acted for the Worshipful Company of Skinners, while Reinhold were advised by Drivers Jonas. Edward Erdman and Rohleder Lumby are letting agents for the scheme.
