Essex council has chosen Churchmanor Estates as its development partner for a 16ha (40 acre) business park.
It will be constructed on a site close to the A12 Boreham Interchange, to be renamed Chelmsford Business Park. An initial masterplan is being prepared and will include offices, R&D and warehouses.
DTZ Debenham Thorpe advised the council and will act on behalf of Churchmanor as joint agents for the scheme with Taylor & Co.
John Lewis of DTZ said: “There’s already interest in some sites for design-and-build opportunities and some direct land purchases.”
Frogmore recently bought an adjacent 24ha (60 acre) site for a proposed 92,900m2 (1m sq ft) distribution, industrial and office park with an end value of around £80m.
