Hambro Countrywide’s roadshow of seven sales in the first half of March raised more than £2.5m. The biggest sale was in London on March 4, when £950,000 was raised.
A terraced house in Frobisher Road, N8, was the star lot. Producing more than £14,300 pa in rental income, it was sold for £114,000. This compared with a guide price of £80,000 to £90,000.
On to Manchester the next day, where property worth £527,000 was sold.
The next week, which started in Birmingham, was equally successful, raising a further £497,000. A four-bedroom detached house in Bristol Road, Edgbaston, sold for £120,000, compared with a guide price of £90,000.
