BAA loses head but wins deals
BAA Lynton signed £50m worth of deals on property near Heathrow this week but lost property head Stephen Bowman to London & Continental, where he will lead its land acquisition team for the £3bn Channel Tunnel Rail Link. BAA bought an office site at 450 Bath Road from Sheridan Estates and prelet the 13,000m2 (140,000 sq ft) Cargo Point warehouse development on Bedfont Road to Plane Handling.
Peel looks to Salford offices
Peel has applied to build 92,900m2 (1m sq ft) of offices next to its Harbour City scheme in Salford Quays, Manchester – opposite the Lowrie Centre. An initial phase of the project may be built speculatively, according to letting and development agent DTZ Debenham Thorpe.
Royal sun sells watford interest
Salmon Developments, Bride Hall, Schroders, Welbeck Land and HGBKyle Stewart are lining up to develop 4,645m2 (50,000 sq ft) of offices at51 Clarendon Road, Watford. Royal Sun Alliance is selling its interest in the building for £1.6m having won outline consent. St Quintin is advising Royal Sun Alliance.
