Plans have been unveiled for an urban village beside the Thames near Woolwich, south-east London.
The Gallions Reach Urban Village will be built at a 52.5ha (130 acre) site owned by Thamesmead Town, aprivate company set up to regenerate the Thamesmead area of east London.
The scheme will include 2,000 homes, a motel, pubs and restaurants and other leisure facilities.
Thamesmead Town is funding the scheme along with Beazer, Barratt, Fairclough and Persimmon.
