Square Mile pulling power
Demand for housing in the Square Mile is still rising, according to Savills. The City Corporation has received planning applications for 350 residential units this year, the largest being Marylebone Warwick Balfour’s £3m scheme at 192- 200 Bishopsgate, EC2, which was recently sold to a private investor.
MOD rolls out Caterham site
The MOD and Knight Frank are selling the Victorian Caterham Barracks in Surrey. They hope to attract high offers from private housebuilders for the 22.7ha (56 acre) site, even though the local council wants employment use on the land.
