CD-ROM presentations add pizazz to sales pitch

Multimedia systems may help in marketing, but do they help to sell properties? A CD-ROM can enliven the glossy sales brochure with sound, video and interactive features, but many agents question the benefits of such an approach.

These doubts were uppermost when I viewed the CD-ROM for the Forum development in Frankfurt, Germany. The multimedia presentation, produced by Bergman & Co, has a commentary, interactive maps and a video fly-by.

Bergman & Co is a design and technical consultancy specialising in digital media.

It has undertaken a wide range of projects, including CD-ROMs for Broadwalk House (Richard Ellis), Carmelite (Hamptons) and 180 High Holborn (Richard Ellis).

CD-ROM presentations should be viewed as complementing traditional marketing methods, not replacing them. In that context, they provide a valuable focus for personal presentations, and could engender among investors a commitment to quality and technology.
