Christian Dior starts the Sloane Street shuffle

Christian Dior is moving its only London fashion store from 22 to 31 Sloane Street, W1, and has signed a new 15-year lease including five-yearly rent reviews. It is paying a rent in excess of £400 zone A.

The 186m2 (2,000 sq ft) store is currently occupied by Chanel, which is also moving to a new store at 166-170 Sloane Street in September.

Landlord Imperial Invest-ments paid Chanel a £500,000 premium to surrender its lease and has relet the shop to Christian Dior at a rent of £295,000 pa.

DTZ Debenham Thorpe acted for Imperial, while Michael Peddar & Co represented Chanel.

Leslie Perkins advised Christian Dior and has been retained to market its current 149m2 (1,600 sq ft) store at 22 Sloane Street, which is owned by the Cadogan Estate.
