Knight Frank has opened an office in Phuket, Thailand to cater for increased demand for holiday homes in the region.
It is the first international agency to open in Phuket and has secured a number of high- profile instructions including:
- Katamanda villas and apartments – 33 flats and 44 villas at Kata Beach
- Major research consultancy and development analysis on a 2.39m sq ft (222,400 sq m) beach-front site at Bang Tao Bay
- Feasibility analysis on a 516,685 sq ft (48,000 sq m) beach-front site at Kalama Bay
Stephen O’Brien, managing director of the office, said: “Despite the downturn in world events and SARS, the high-end residential market continues to show positive gains and returns.
“We have not known of a single example where a villa owner has lost money on their investment.”
