The Financial Times writes about the difficulties Mohammed Fayed would have selling upmarket Knightsbridge department store Harrods, if speculation is correct that he has sounded out potential buyers.
The paper writes that there is growing speculation that Harrods is suffering worse than most as the retail sector suffers a downturn in sales.
It says that the long-term recovery story Harrods would represent is likely to put off most quoted retail companies.
