Andrews & Robertson has closed its commercial agency department but is still offering commercial lots at its auctions.
Auctioneer Andrew Smith said that two of the three people in the department were made redundant in March because of the slowdown in letting activity.
“The department was not doing a lot of investment agency because most of this work was directed to auction anyway,” he said. “It was not proving to be cost-effective and we were not prepared to carry on indefinitely.”
