Third generation mobile phone operator 3 plans to dispose of almost half its flagship Scottish HQ.
Formerly known as Hutchison 3G UK, the company wants to sublet 30,000 sq ft of its 72,000 sq ft at 123 St Vincent Street in Glasgow’s prime business area.
The firm has instructed Donaldsons to market the two floors of the building which it acquired at a top Scottish rent of £23.50 per sq ft in 2001.
It is releasing the space because of difficult trading conditions in the technology sector.
The building is owned by Abbey National Asset Managers.
Chris Dougray, managing partner for Donaldsons Scotland, declined to comment.
The firm took its five floors on a 20-year lease and is looking to sublet leases of around five years.
