Gallagher Estates and Wilson Connolly have jointly submitted outline plans for 1,400 homes and a range of community, leisure and social facilities at Broughton Manor Farm near Milton Keynes.
Broughton Manor Farm is a 131-acre (53ha) site on the eastern side of Milton Keynes. It is next to the Broughton Brook, which forms the boundary of the former New Town designated area of Milton Keynes.
Gallagher describes the scheme as Milton Keynes’ “first major private development outside the land controlled by English Partnerships.” It will include some affordable housing.
The site is designated for “priority housing release” before 2006 in Milton Keynes council’s Local Plan.
A development brief for the site has been prepared and will go out to consultation later in the year, prior to its consideration for adoption by the council.
