The Church Schools Company has bought Hull Grammar School from Nord Anglia Education for £4.18m.
Nord Anglia bought the school form the administrator in 1991 for £900,000. The school will merge with the new owner’s Hull High School.
Nord Anglia said the deal was a one-off.
