ING Real Estate Investment Management has recruited Ian Cockburn and Aleksandra Hughes from Lend Lease.
Cockburn, who was chairman of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments in Europe, and Hughes, who joins in a few weeks, will work on the ING UK Shopping Centre Fund, which is due to launch later this year.
Lend Lease has been divesting itself of its property investment management businesses worldwide.
In the UK it only retains management of the Lend Lease Retail Partnership.
Sarah Hayward, director of development, who has spearheaded the development of the shopping centre fund to date, said: “We are delighted to welcome to the team such high-calibre individuals.
“Their market knowledge and reputation will be an enormous asset to the development of the fund.”
Cockburn and Hughes commented: “We very much enjoyed being involved in the creation and management of the Lend Lease shopping centre partnerships and now look forward to joining ING to work on a UK shopping centre fund.”
