The Welsh Development Agency (WDA) has completed a record land deal with the £12.75m sale of just over 10 acres near Penarth, South Wales, to David Wilson Homes.
The agency says the deal for the land at Cogan Hall is the highest price per acre it has achieved for a residential site.
David Wilson plans to develop a low-density housing scheme of fewer than 100 homes.
The site represents the third and final phase of land disposal by the WDA at Cogan Hall.
The agency’s land division has sold off its total holding of 30 acres for housing and a primary school.
It said the cash would be used to invest in “economically or socially desirable projects” elsewhere.
