Designs unveiled for first phase of Dundee digital media park

Jersey-based P4 Property Holdings has unveiled designs (pictured) for the first phase of Scotland’s largest digital media park, at the former Seabraes jute mill in Dundee.

The niche developer has begun work on a £10m scheme which will turn the 93,000 sq ft (8,622 sq m) mill into a hi-tech business centre.

The redevelopment, which is set within a former rail yard on a brownfield site near the city centre, forms part of the largest speculative project undertaken in Dundee.

It will see the building stripped back to its framework and a central atrium created, around which office suites tailored for small, hi-tech users will be provided.

The scheme will be completed in October.

The Dundee Digital Media Park won consent in February.

The park comprises a 10-year phased development of 270,000 sq ft (25,000 sq m) offices.

The first phase of new-build will comprise 130,000 sq ft (12,077 sq m) of offices.

The park is the sister to Scottish Enterprise’s Pacific Quay in Glasgow, earmarked as the new home of the BBC and Scottish Media Group.

Ryden is advising P4 Property.
