Virgin denies Napster return will kill record shops

Virgin Megastores has denied that the return of Napster will sound the death knell for the traditional high-street record store.

The online music service was closed down three years ago after it pioneered illegal music downloading.

But it has now agreed with record labels to offer a massive catalogue for sale over the internet for which people will have to pay.
